Jules Pascin was a romantic, bohemian artist. The artist was a major figure in the School of Paris before immigrating to the United States in 1914. He is known for his subtle handling of line, tone and, fine draftsmanship.

Matisse (my all time favorite)

I thought that I would begin my posts with a couple of paintings by my all time favorite artist, Henri Matisse.

Look at this wonderful painting. This woman is wearing cute house shoes. Probably because the tile floor is cold. I also like the way that Matisse left the girls face blank. The color and simple drawing is beautiful.
